How it all began…
Living in the city has its ups and downs. Being super close to the neighbours and not being able to find a car spot anywhere near our own house were catalysts to move. And so we did.
It was early 2024 and we started looking at a new home somewhere in or around Paddington, Queensland. And we found a beautiful old house that needed lots of TLC. In March 2024 while we were in Spain the house was sold to us by auction. Chris helped us via WhatsApp with the bidding. We “got it cheap at $1.95M” a few of our new neighbours assured us. It’s a 3,900% price increase since it was last sold 42 years ago and at the rate it ill be worth $76,050,000 in 2066 (something nobody believes of course).
That’s when the real journey started.
