Two aims today, (1) cover the big holes out the back to prevent the rain from flooding the place and (2) start taking down some external walls. Summary… both done, well sorta.
My site office now has a door and the window hole is secured and Ioooove my new office, just me and my tools and the fan. The View Room has been covered. The apex has been covered (incl. advertising ;-)…), the main entrance has been… well not covered yet, oops, I’ll get to that tomorrow.
Pulling down the 2 south/east walls was tricky as I really didn’t want any timber to crash into the neighbours house. Yes they are super close atm, its actually an easement as our house atm is situated on their land but that will change. It went surprisingly well, some minor challenges but no issues, got to clean the floors just before the rain hit is again at about 6PM.
Tomorrow… pulling down the rest of the external walls and build a temp dunny space. Oh yes, and close the main entrance as well, we’ll see how we go. It’s been a long and fantastic day.
PS. The new owner builder sign has been put up, its waterproof and compliant and … free.
